Sleeping...
There is sleeping
for 12 people in beds. 1Q, 2D, 6S. The lounge, Bedroom 1
and walkthrough are in the original front of the house. There is a
single daybed
in the back of the lounge. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and wardrobe and
is bright and private. The walkthrough bunk sleeps 2 singles. Bedrooms
2
&
3 are in the back of the house off the kitchen. Bedroom 2 is large with
a double bed, 3 singles and a small wardrobe. Bedroom 3 is
reached through Bedroom 2. It has a queen bed, large wardrobe
and
is spacious and private. All beds have mattress protectors &
quilts. Light weight
doonas,
pillows and spare blankets are also provided. You may want extra
doonas in the
winter. Please bring all personal linens... sheets, pillow cases
&
doona covers. Linens may also be provided by Beds
by the Beach.
Doonas have lining covers, please use your doona cover over
these. There
is also a single, plastic mattress protector available for toddlers.
Kitchen... The
kitchen has a
large table with seating for 6-8. We usually squeeze in 10. A
second table
is available
in the walkthrough that may be brought in to
join
with dining table to seat 14-16. There are plates and cutlery for 20!
The appliances include fridge, range, small microwave,
toaster,
blender,
mixer, dishwasher and Espresso Machine!! There is also a
sunny
corner which is a
favorite gathering spot.
Lounge... The lounge
has a lot of seating with TV
& DVD.
The back of the lounge has extra power points which
makes a good area for
people to use their laptops. The kids often play games
there. There is no phone line, there is wireless connection
availabe at the Piping Hot Chicken Shop. The fireplace has an electric
stove
insert to make it
warm and cozy.
Bath... The bath has a
shower and sink. Please bring all towels. Please be aware
of water
conservation. The toilet is indoor and
separate.
Please
replace toilet paper.
Laundry...
There is a large
trough, washer and
dryer. There is also a small drinks fridge
available
that has seen better days, it leaks but it keeps the champagne
cold!
Heating and
Cooling...
There are
4 portable, electric oil heaters
throughout the house and
the electric fan heater in the fireplace. The kitchen has a ceiling fan
and
there are 2 portable fans.
Outdoors...
The front
and back areas are fully
fenced. 2-3 cars may
be parked on the property. There is also plenty of street parking. A
mix of outdoor furniture
and a recent BBQ is provided. There are many BBQ's available at the
beach
and river that we often use.
Cleaning...
The house
will be cleaned thoroughly before each
visitor. Please
leave it tidy and help us keep it nice. Please disconnect
all
heaters
and turn off all power points.
